GCM Watch launches Monument Awards

In an effort to encourage more Christian bloggers to monitor, analyze and publish (MAP) the gay christian movement, GCM has launched a monthly award called the Monument Awards. The Monument will highlight the posts of blog authors who present a clear biblical defense of truth in the face the false theology of the gay Christian movement.

June’s Monument is shared by two Christian bloggers.

First, Christine is a California wife and mother who earned a BA in education from Kean University in 1978. She has studied the Bible some 18 years and in 2003, upon successful completion of the course of study offered in the MA Lecture Series, earned a Christian Apologetics Certificate from Biola University.

In her blog TalkWisdom, Christine’s column “Easing their Conscience” makes the case for the conflict between the gay christian movement and the apparent truth of God’s Word:

“The reason our opponents on this issue are so angry is because they cannot negate God’s Word. They can twist, disregard, attempt to change, and even physically eliminate the verses (by creating their own version of a “homosexual condemnation free” Bible) that offend them. But what they are actually doing is taking out portions of the Bible that speak against homosexuality from God’s unchanging Word in order to ease their own conscience about this sin. “

Sharing this month’s Monument is Mark and his blog Chester Street. Mark describes Chester Street as “A Street filled with Conservative, Bible Reading, American Flag Waving, Neighbor Helping, Gun Owning, Animal Loving, Church Going, Regular People. This Street is No friend of the Left, so turn Right.”

His post “Dear Dr. Out and Proud and Ms World” warns the false prophets of the gay christian movement that their efforts to discredit the Bible will fail:

“No law of God is done away with. However, the self serving, man inspired spirit of the law, has been exposed by Christ. The same self serving spirit you attempt to make Holy. God’s children know the difference. Not one letter shall be removed, not one. A human response to sin is always a good thing. The only Saving response however, is heart felt repentance. God’s grace is not a free for all buffet where you replace God’s Holiness with ‘personal feelings or worldly defintions of love’, no matter how many Phd’s and Ms Worldly book writers say otherwise. Our Lord’s blood cannot cover the sins of those who know no sin or have willfully reduced what is sin, to worldly standards in their own hearts. Our worldly flesh is never Holy before God, no matter how many times you may invoke the name of Christ in your so called truth, much less teach it to others. Woe is to them who do so.”
