We will not neglect to do good

A note of solidarity and encouragement.

We are very grateful to God that there are men and women using whatever meager means available to them to stand for righteousness in the perilous times in which we find ourselves. In particular, we give thanks for those who are, through their personal blogs, combatting false doctrine and the callous lies invading the church. Its a worthwhile vocation to expose satan’s destructive ways by shining the True Light which uncovers the hidden agenda of the enemy and thus, saves souls. Yes, these blogs may seem insignificant and perhaps some may even belittle and disparage our efforts. But we are constrained by love to warn the church and to earnestly contend for the faith once delivered unto the saints (Jude 3). And we gladly receive any and all reproach that accompanies our efforts. To that end, we glorify God.

Blogs such as Talk Wisdom, Chester Street, Independent Conservative, Cry Loud, our new friend Carol at Bible Thumper’s Soapbox, Neil Simpson, Seeing God’s Breath, our brothers in Singapore…Daniel and Vincent (links in the left sidebar) and others are doing an awesome work. In doing your part to uphold truth, please know that your labor is not in vain.

Its not an easy task to have to confront wayward brothers and sisters or to call out wolves, thieves, false prophets, teachers and church con artists, but it must be done. Christine wrote something which many Christians are missing. She said, “Though we will face opposition from outside the church, it is the opposition that is growing from within the church that should concern us all.” Yes, this is an inside war! This type of struggle is uniquely Christian because our faith is only one held to an uncompromising standard of truth. Therefore, those who hate that truth will stop at nothing to dismantle it…even if they have to do so from the inside! And no wonder for satan himself is transformed into an “angel of light”. This costume affords him stealth access to the church and its pulpits. And his “ministers” pretend to be ministers of righteousness, but secretly have one goal: to kill, steal and destroy.

As much as we may want to turn our faces away and think or talk about something else, we can’t. Knowing the consequences of spiritual ignorance, we just can’t. Its not our desire that any should perish. Nor is it our goal to demonize those who are walking in error. But should they choose to continue fighting against God’s clear truth, we must warn them they will not escape God’s harsh and irrevocable judgment. In that, we will not neglect to do good. David, contemplating those who desired his —and Isreal’s— destruction, said with confidence:

Wait on the LORD, and keep His way, and He shall exalt you to inherit the land; When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it. I have seen the wicked in great power, And spreading himself like a native green tree. Yet he passed away, and behold, he was no more; Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found. Psalms 37:34-36)

Thanks to all who encourage us and help us to keep God’s truth at the forefront of the church.

  1. Thank you for recognizing TalkWisdom in this post. We certainly need to work together to counter that unspoken goal of the gcm: to kill, steal, and destroy.

This portion is the truth and so very powerful:

This type of struggle is uniquely Christian because our faith is only one held to an uncompromising standard of truth. I am reminded of what Jesus said in his prayer to God the Father in John 17:13-19

And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

Despite this onslaught of error being promulgated by the gcm, we can still have Christs’ “joy fulfilled in themselves (ourselves!).”

    Why?

Because despite what evil may come our way, we are being “sanctified through the truth.”

Our fellowship in this effort is spoken about through the words of Christ:

Jhn 17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

Jhn 17:10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.

Jhn 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we [are].

No matter what transpires on this earth, we have the total assurance of life eternal with our wonderful Savior, Jesus Christ! What a celebration all believers will have when we are with him!

Jhn 17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

Jhn 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Christ is so awesome. I have Holy Spirit happy chills…
