Episcopal Bishop threatened by church for refusal to accept homosexuality

Its been proven the Episcopal Church has, for the most part, lost its standing as a church dedicated to Jesus Christ. Instead, it has become a haven for foul spirits and new theologies which continue to push it over the edge of apostasy.

In our opinion this lurch into the darkness has come at the organization’s insane attempt at “inclusion”, primarily of homosexual sin as a “gift of God”. We won’t belabor that point, but you should know what will happen in other churches should this model currently in operation in the Episcopal and UCC, become a reality in your church. The wicked rulers of the Episcopal Church, led by Bishop Katherine Schori,  intends to exact revenge on those who will not bow to the false gods they have set up in the house of God.

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. Proverbs 29:2

Take for example, the Bishop of the Pittsburgh diocese who is under threat of “discipline” for his refusal to accept the religious monarchy’s edit to accept homosexuality as a “gift from God”.

According to an Associated Press story:

Bishop Robert Duncan(pictured) is among the leaders of a conservative U.S. movement that believes the Episcopal Church is abandoning the primary authority of Scripture, with biblical teachings on sexuality being the flashpoint of the debate.

The rift between conservatives and the Episcopal Church, the Anglican body in the U.S., has widened since the denomination consecrated New Hampshire Bishop V. Gene Robinson, who is openly gay, in 2003.

Duncan would not comment on QueenBishop Katharine Jefferts Schori’s [the presiding monarch] letter, which was dated Wednesday, until he addresses the convention, a diocese spokesman said.

“I will say that, to us, it appears to be an attempt to intimidate our convention,” spokesman Peter Frank said.

Jefferts Schori’s letter does not specify what discipline Duncan could face, but warns: “If your course does not change, I shall regrettably be compelled to see that appropriate canonical steps are promptly taken to consider whether you have abandoned the Communion of this Church … and whether you have committed canonical offenses that warrant disciplinary action.”

Duncan could ultimately be “deposed from office and declared to have abandoned communion with the Episcopal church,” Frank said.

Although some falsely claim homosexuals are being persecuted by the church, stories such as these reveal the face of the real persecutors of God’s people.

  1. Hi DL,

I mentioned this post and the “Letter to Pastors and Elders” post at Talk Wisdom today.

Deception is rampant in liberal churches. They are engaged in the final stage right out of Kirk and Madsen’s “After the Ball” homosexual agenda playbook.

It is the perfect example why the gay christian movement must be challenged and exposed by Bible-believing and teaching Christians everywhere!

  2. I’m thinking it is a good thing that devils like Schori cannot keep their mouths shut. With every evil word they speak the scripture is proved and ffulfilled.

I will do my part to publicize their evil ways and their attempts to shut down those who refuse to bow to this gay-rainbow colored cow they have brought into God’s house.

Thanks Christine and congratulations on being a finalist in the Blog awards! Now, I know somebody famous! LOL

  3. For Schiori to say, ” . . . to consider whether you have abandoned the Communion of this Church … and whether you have committed canonical offenses that warrant disciplinary action” is pure self-parody, albeit unintentional.

She mocks the word and the Gospel at every turn, and not just on this topic.

  4. Neil I read that and kind of bucked my eyes. Imagine that: standing for biblical truth is “committing canonical offense.” So decrees the grand queen of the Episcopalians. Pardon my sarcasm, but this is sheer lunacy. Sounds like we are re-descending into the dark ages of catholic papacy.

    Bishop Duncan is my hero.

  5. Anyone who treats gays unkindly are not followers of Christ.

Jesus lived and died for ALL people – not just Jews, Christians, straight people, etc.

Jesus would be the first today to stand up for gay rights (human rights)! HE would say this why He came 2000 yrs ago – to tell the pharisise this was hypocrisy. CHristians are doing the same to people as the Jews did to Jesus when he lived.

Somehow this remind me of a bumper sticker I once saw, “JESUS WAS A LIBERAL”.

Jesus represented all people gay, straight, black and white.

What Would Jesus Do – embrace them and tell gays they are worthy of him!

GCMW: Donna, NO ONE is “worthy of Jesus”. You have your theology backwards. “As it is written:
“ There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God.
They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.”
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.(Romans 3:10-12; 23)

Jesus would have said the same thing he said to everyone when he came onto the earth:

The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (Mt 4:16. 17)

Gays, like everyone else have sinned and they must repent, be born again by the spirit in order to be one with Christ. Affirming people in their sin is antithetical to Christ’s message and mission. Jesus’ liberality came in offering repentance and change to all people via his death on the cross. He NEVER committed sin, not even sexual, so there is no “representation” in that area (Heb 4:15).

  6. Jesus indeed loved all people. He embraced lepers, prostitutes, tax collectors, all manner of sinners. But He did not leave them as lepers, prostitutes, or tax collectors. Why do some people want to leave this important fact out?
