Gay pulpit pimps?

A former member of the gay denomination Metropolitan Community Church says member churches are leaving the denomination “in droves” due to MCC’s propensity to pocket “tithes” paid to the church. The man, now a UCC member in SC said,

Nowhere do you mention that congregations are leaving the MCC in droves due to their mismanagement and inability to be fiscally responsible to their ministries. I personally voted for us to leave the MCC after I learned that just a tiny fraction of my tithe to the UFMCC (The MCC’s governing body) was used for outreach and evangelism – just 6.1% in the 2007 budget, while salaries take a whopping 61.5% of their 3.1 million budget – see for yourself on the UFMCC website.”[source]

Seems pulpit pimpery and money hustlers arent  just confined to so-called anti-gay churches. But, false doctrine aside, sexual immorality and financial dishonesty aren’t the denomination’s only problem. Another former member says the church is self-destructive.

The denomination is on a path of self-destruction of its own choosing, and until the denominational elders decide to mentor and support their pastors rather than condemning and undermining them, that path of self-destruction shall certainly continue unabated.” [source]

Condemning!? Surely not the uber-tolerant MCC. Since the MCC is a rogue church anyway, it would be a good thing for this false religion to cease contributing to the deception of so many people.

  1. Pastor Foster,

You have mentioned other people in the past here that have had outright or questionable sexual orientation of which many are of the Properity Gospel. Once a little leaven gets in there is no telling what sins may manifest themselves whether it’s Homosexuality or Pimpin. Basically those of us who are truly Saved Sanctified and Holy Ghost filled are of the minority and the Bible confirms this. What is shocking to me is that people would complain about the Pimpin that’s going on yet have no issue with Homosexuality. This is hypocrisy.

    Aint that the strangest thing?

Kyle, most of these folks are on the same wavelength just different manifestations of their sins. According to Galatians 5, sin is one big, messed up family.

Leaven —just a tiny amount— the bible says is dangerous to everything and to us all.

From what we are seeing today, the leaven has infected every area of the church.

I agree with you on the remnant. Many walk the broadway, but few choose the narrow path to life. By God’s grace I am content to stay on the narrow path.

I wonder how the “inclusionists” of the gcm explain that?

  3. Very interesting. I, like Kyle, never thought that the pimp game extended to the homosexual movement.

Perhaps I’m naive, but I thought that this extremely liberal movement subscribed to the “can’t we all get along” and “we’re all special in God’s sight” fallacy.

Of course, I should’ve known better. The nature of the pimp is not confined to a particular denomination, sexual orientation, or race. It’s simply the desire to use others to get what you want – at any cost.

They are a walking bundle of contradictions to say the least.

  5. Speaking Truth,

Well to answer your question we need only to look at the epicenter of all of this nonsense and that is sin. Like true sheep that flock to Jesus, and one day we the elect will ALL be with him for eternity, so too will the followers of sin and Satan flock together. As we approach the end times there will be a greater convergence of these groups that at one time seemed unreasonable. But if Jesus is NOT the focus then there should be no shock when these groups outside of the “true” Christ converge. My friend we are beginning to see the true remnant emerge from this mess and truly there are very few of us that are saved. The Bible tells us so. Praise be to God that we are part of that “narrow” path.

  6. Well. during the 1980s I was quite involved with Metropolitan Community ‘church’. I am a celibate lesbian: the theology presented at MCC is based mainly upon rationalization and ignorance. I love Jesus, the Christ: the logos who came here and who will return. Now MCC reminds me of Matthew 722-23. ‘Many will say to me on that day/ “Lord, did we not prophesy in your name. drive out demons and perfom many miracles?” Then I will tell them plainly. ” I never knew you. Away from me all you evildoers!”
