Gay religion professor tells audience to "abandon the Bible"

The gay christian movement continues to devise not so clever but yet “scholarly” sounding ways of demanding that the church bury the Bible once and for all. The reason is clear. The scriptures remain the only unshifting witness against their sin. Its not a stretch of the imagination for us to say that the gcm will spearhead a legal challenge to ban use of the Bible altogether.

If you think that to be far fetched, consider what Dale Martin, (pictured) a homosexual christian professor at Yale said to an audience regarding the Bible and sex. In his speech entitled “A Gay, Male, Christian, Sexual Ethic.” Martin called on christians of his genre to abandon a “Bible says so approach” when determining whether one’s sexual practices are right or wrong. In other words, a “christian” is telling other “christians” that the Bible is no longer an authority in the lives of those who claim the name of Christ.

Instead, Martin offers a broader, less restrictive alternative. Sex, he says, should be likened to food.

Taking the Christian imperative of love of neighbor and self as the primary ethical framework, Martin suggested Christians look at sex as analogous to other human activities, like friendship, eating, and play. Just as the amount of intimacy in a friendship, the amount of food one eats, or the rules of playing fair may change from situation to situation, Martin suggested the ethics of sex must also be situationally adjusted. Central to this idea is the understanding that sex may mean different things for different people, whether people consider themselves heterosexual, bisexual, gay, lesbian, male, female, or transgender. “Sex is good and ethical when appropriate to the relationship,” Martin said.

Life imitating sin. That’s what it is, just like the scripture says. We should not be moved nor seduced by man’s foolish philosophy. The reason: exactly because the Bible says so:

“For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen
(Romans 1:21-25)
We have documented over and over on this blog, the gay christian movement’s complete hatred for the scriptures. The wanton and evil nature of the movement has nothing to do with Christ, but instead serves the god of its belly. We appeal strongly to those who read this blog, do not be deceived by tactics of so-called kindness, meal sharing and dialogue. Their real intentions are to utterly destroy the faith once delivered to the saints. It would be foolish of any person who believes the scripture to think that the religious veneer of this demonic movement wants to love or obey the Lord Jesus.

The speech was the first in a series given in the spirit of John Boswell, the homosexual theologian credited for inventing contemporary gay christian ideology. Martin delivered the speech at the Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies in Religion and Ministry (CLGS) at the Pacific School of Religion. Bishop Yvette Flunder is an alum.

The handwriting is on the wall church…and in this blog. Take time to read and renew your commitment to upholding the truth of God’s word.

  1. I’ve been waiting for them to just admit they need to avoid the Bible all together to affirm their sinful ways.

The only things they like to cite from scripture are things like “Love your neighbor as yourself”. Well that’s not the first greatest commandment, the first is to love God with all our heart, soul and mind, Matthew 22:37-38.

If we love God we keep his commandments, John 14:15.

He commanded that marriage only be between one man and one woman and if you want to be anything else you better be a celibate eunuch, Matthew 19:1-12.

If we love God first, anyone who claims to follow His Son (without His Son you don’t have God) we’re going to tell the truth and if they refuse it renounce them as our brother/sister, because they don’t love Him, they don’t seek to keep His commandments. They have no evidence of regeneration, they are trees with rotten fruit.

They lead with “Love your neighbor as yourself” as if it’s commandment #1 because they hope to be God themselves. They hope we will do what makes them feel good. For us to defy their claims they see as us not “loving” them, because they don’t understand how to honor and love God.

  2. In a weird way it is good when they admit that they must abandon the Bible to arrive at their views.

“Taking the Christian imperative of love of neighbor and self as the primary ethical framework”

Note how he picks and chooses which parts to trust. It is ironic that he chooses to ignore Leviticus 18:22 (Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.) but not Leviticus 19:18 (Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.)

“Sex is good and ethical when appropriate to the relationship,” Martin said.

Yep. It is good and ethical when in a one-man, one woman marriage, just like the Bible teaches.

  3. Central to this idea is the understanding that sex may mean different things for different people, whether people consider themselves heterosexual, bisexual, gay, lesbian, male, female, or transgender . . .

OK, so what does the understanding of what sex means to the pedophile? What about Man/Boy Love Association? I think those men can put in their definition of sex . . . after all, the men do love the little boys . . .

Do you see what is coming? Once we open Pandora’s box to homosexuality (the box is cracked and people are taking a peek), pedophilia is next (followed by bestiality). We think HIV/AIDS is a problem? America is on the verge of a pandemic problem with HIV and other STDs, especially the ones associated in having sex with animals.

Thanks for your continued reporting. Your topics are truly cutting-edge.

GCMW: Thanks so much ucanwalk. We will continue to expose the unfruitful works of darkness. And you told the truth. Every wicked and perverse condition is just waiting in the wings for its turn to be deemed “respectable” and nonthreatning, just like homosexuality.

  4. Im still trying to grasp how one can be a Christian and yet disavow the Bible.

What’s the point in that? Oh, wait…I know the answer to that.

  5. IC,

What this “professor” teaches doesn’t surprise me and it isn’t new.

If you read the Gay Theology proponents of the Liberation bent you’ll find that they are much more upfront about their views of the Bible than the average crafty and subtle Gay Theology apologists. For example, Gary Comistock (a professor at Wesleyan University) in his book “Gay Theology Without Apology” states concerning the Bible, “Christian Scripture and tradition are not authorities from which I seek approval” (pg. 4) and then later states “I criticize it and call it to account for its homophobia.” (pg. 12) What is the ethcal consequence? He believes that giving sexual pleasure to children is a form of liberation and is perfectly acceptable so long as it is not “coerced.” (pg. 29-30)

  6. Rik, I tend to agree with you. They have not at all tried to conceal their desire to deep six the Bible. I just dont think most people are aware of the extent of their hatred of the Word of God.

  7. The Prosperity Message is a “soft” message; it is what the carnal minded person is dying to hear. Preachers that are more worried about their pocket books and wallets are scared to preach the truth. Many Pastors are afraid that their congregation will stop paying tithes, and stop giving speaker offerings if they preach the truth. Prosperity preachers will avoid subjects that will make them unpopular because that will affect their income. Keep people happy and they will support your lifestyle and lavish you with gifts. If these preachers preached against homosexuality, Government corruption, adultery, fornication, and materialism these guys (and gals) would not have a big following.
