In 2007, hundreds of people gathered in the Webb Hall Conference center on the campus of North Carolina A and T State University for the first Triad Summit on Valuing Abstinence and the Family or the “2V” conference.
Conference organizer Elder Raymond King is now promoting the second conference featuring keynote speaker Dr. Alveda King, neice of the famed civil rights leader. The conference is scheduled for August 21-23 at the Olivet Christian Center in Greensboro.
In addition to Dr. King, other highlighted speakers will be Author, Speaker and Minister DL Foster of Atlanta, Mike Haley of Focus on the Family, Charlene Cothran, editor of VENUS magazine, David Benham, co-founder of the Coalition of Conscience and Lyn Thrasher, Executive Director of the Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center.
Pre-registration is until August 10th. The pre-registration fee is $10.00 per person or $30.00 per family (parent(s) and their children only). After August 10th, the regular registration fee will be $15.00 per person and $40.00 per family. The registration fee will cover your entrance to each session on Thursday and Friday evening and to each of the three sessions on Saturday including the public forum and the play.
The conference session schedule will commence on Thursday the 21st and Friday the 22nd from 6:30-10:00 pm. Three sessions will be offered on Saturday the 23rd, 10:00-12:00 noon, the public forum from 2:00-4:00 pm and the evening affairs will begin at 6:00 pm.
