[Christian] [Rev] Chuck Currie doesn't reccomend Christ

small_chuckcurrie-nccImagine that. A Christian minister who doesn’t recommend Jesus Christ. It should come as no surprise the clerics supporting the gay christian movement are spiritual benedict arnolds. And that’s being charitable.

Before we get to the story at Eternity Matters, let’s review what we’re dealing with here.

Watch out for false prophets for they come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves Mt 7:15

But there are also false prophets among the people, even as there are false teachers among you who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who brought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 Pet 2:1

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 Jn 4:1

That’s three separate witnesses on that, so let there be no doubt, false teachers and mouthpieces are extremely destructive to the Body and must be openly opposed. In fact, Paul instructed Titus (chap 1, vs 11) if possible to “shut their mouths” and restrict their ability to spread their wicked messages. Its a sin to remain silent while false teachers and wolves come among the flock to destroy.

Neil has the writeup of how the Rev. Chuck Currie of Portland, OR, a  UCC minister says recommending Jesus Christ as the answer to Tiger Woods sexual sin and addictions is a “mystery” to him.

By the way, Chuck is holed up in the same apostate denomination as “bulletproof” expert Candace Chellew and lesbian bishop Yvette Flunder, so you can just imagine the insanity dripping from these people’s mouths on a continual basis.

Neil accurately calls Currie a “false teacher” who has finally come out of his fake Christian persona.

Chuck Currie claims to be a Christian Reverend but teaches the opposite of what Jesus did on virtually any spiritual topic. I’ve addressed his false teachings several times as well as documenting his status as an unrepentant serial liar and libeller. If he was just some lone heretic he wouldn’t be worth mentioning. But he is typical of liberal theologians and their bad reasoning.

But today he really went all out. This “Christian Reverend” was put off by Brit Hume’s simple premise that Tiger should turn to Christianity to be forgiven and changed. Chuck committed multiple fallacies in attacking Brit and abandoned any pretense of being a believer. Words like his mock the cross and the blood of the martyrs. Watch the video at the bottom then consider Chuck’s text:

FOX’s Brit Hume thinks that if Tiger Woods would become a Christian all would be ok for
the disgraced golfer (whose hero image was destroyed by the uncovering of numerous affairs).

Hume simply stated that Buddhism doesn’t offer the forgiveness and redemption offered by the Christian faith. Hume thinks Christianity is true and recommends it. Chuck parades as a “Christian Reverend” but does not recommend Christianity.

One thing false teachers and ministers of satan count on, is that their overbearing superfluous spirituality will intimidate believers into silence and give them more room to spread death with their mouths. Let’s put a stop to it.

  1. Well, unfortunately its true there are Gay Reverands that are denying Jesus Christ as the only way, the truth and the light. I do not associate myself with this movement…its important that Gay Christians speak out against this kind of teachings. And trust there are many of us..sitting silently in main-stream churches and in all inclusive or radically inclusive churches who do not embrace this “inter-faith” theology all in the name of unity…Jesus is the answer not only for Tiger but for us all!…..

  2. Great points, and thanks for the link.

BTW, Chuck does advance the pro-gay agenda (and pro-abortion too, of course), but I don’t think he identifies as being gay.

  3. P.s. Your closing comment and challenge were right on. I see the “overbearing superfluous spirituality” often with them.

  4. You wrote … One thing false teachers and ministers of satan count on, is that their overbearing superfluous spirituality will intimidate believers into silence and give them more room to spread death with their mouths. Let’s put a stop to it.

Might look in the mirror … I am blind but have found someone else with even more a handicap – talking nonsense.

  5. “Talking nonsense” is worse than being blind? I dont remember Jesus ever healing anyone of “talking nonsense” but he treated blindness as a part of the works of satan. Is that what they are teaching you at that anemic UCC church you attend? That being blind is an acceptable “handicap”?

  6. Wow. Now, I’m possessed by Satan? Hmmmmmmmmmm. There is the story of Jesus driving the evil spirits from the inane man. If the shoe fits, wear it.

Pastor, I wanted to know you opinion on this situtaion?

Paul, per I Timothy 2:1-3 says, “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.” Osteen was right to bless the mayor of Houston as the head of state for the city, even if she is a lesbian.

I think his prayer of blessing was in that context. Hopefully.

Romans 13:1 says, “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities, for there is not authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.”

If Romans 13:1 is true, authorities that exist (voted in) are permitted by God. Paul isnt suggesting that God approves of wicked government, ungodly officials, or unjust legislation. Sometimes, he allows it in punishment for the sins of a people, or for other reasons known to Him, God allows evil rulers to have authority for a time, as the OT prophets frequently testify. I believe God grants authority for good benefit to the people. How that authority plays out in legislative rule will also be held accountable to God.

I understand that a mere 16% of registered voters, voted in the Houston mayoral runoff off election, so even if the majority of people in Houston did not want a lesbian mayor, they were too complacent to get up and vote against her. That should be considered also.

  8. Well, once again, we have the empty remarks of that false minister Williams who parades around spouting empty rhetoric about the things of God and the Word of God that he knows absolutely nothing about.
Minister Williams (note: again this imposter is no minister of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ) wants to wax on and on with the impression that he is a part of the Body of Christ because he says certain phrases or uses certain words to mask the fact that he is far from the kingdom of God.
Nothing is further from the truth. Minister Williams likes to hang on near or about the fringes of Christianity and dibble and dabble his big toe into the waters but is not willing to renounce his sins and submit to the Lordship of Jesus.
So, in lieu of that commitment, this fraud and pretender prances around websites tickling his fancy of making what he thinks are
meaningful comments but at the same time, reveling in his sin.
I hope no one is suckered by this phony and his girlie talk.

  9. Thanks Pastor, I agree with this assessment. what bothers me is that I wonder if he wouldve been asked to pray if he really taught the Word of God regarding sin. Was he asked because he seems inclusive to an extent? i wonder if the OT pprophets wouldve got an invite?

Most definately the people of Houston have themselves to blame.
