False Prophets and Teachers are Murderers

by shofarsound

carltonpearsonFalse teachers and prophets are spiritual murderers because they affect the well-being of a person’s eternal soul by leading him or her away from the Word of God.   There are two dangerous false teachings:  The Gospel of Inclusion and Pro-gay Theology.  As 1 Timothy 4:1 would put it, they are doctrine of devils and people give heed to these seducing spirits every day.  Ignatius in the 2nd century A.D. said, “I urge you…keep away from every strange plant, which is heresy. These people, while pretending to be trustworthy, mix Jesus Christ with poison…I am guarding you in advance because you are very dear to me and I foresee the snares of the devil (Letters to the Trallians 6-8).” Just think of it this way: Carlton Pearson and Yvette Flunder are among those who teach these types of heresies and they are guilty of Ezekiel 3:18.  They do not act as true watchmen of God that warn the wicked of their iniquity.  They make the unsaved believe that they are really saved.  Any person who believes or follows such teaching runs the risk of eternal damnation and receiving the “second death” or separation from Jesus Christ (Revelation 2:11, 20:6, 21:8).

Yvette FlunderJust imagine a whole congregation that follows false teachings!  If they believe the teaching until their death, never receive the full revelation of the lie, and never repent for believing the lie, they are spiritually dead.  The false teacher has performed spiritual murder.   The congregation is deceived into believing a lie and the result is eternal death.

First and foremost, saints of God should always follow the Word of God over their favorite icon preacher or teacher. Deuteronomy 13:1-4 says,

“If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or wonder, and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him..”

Consider the following: Church folks often tell others that the prophet of the Lord told them that a check was coming in the mail because the Word said that their blessings would be pressed down, shaken together and running over.  However, the prophet who told them that didn’t line up with the Word of God.  They didn’t study.  They didn’t receive a revelation from God.  Instead, the word the prophet spoke was just some new wild revelation they received through their own flesh. The sad truth is that people eat this poison of unbiblical preaching and teaching, and will fight over what these false ministers have said as being the Truth.  Unfortunately, they are unable to see the death of false teaching in the pot ( 2 Kings 4:40). They would rather eat death than the life-giving Word of God.

Regrettably, people follow the voice of there favorite preacher or teacher instead of the voice of God.   Many saints today lack the discipline to search the scriptures for themselves.  They fail to make sure the person they are listening to is telling them the truth. We must be like the Bereans in Berea. Acts 17:10-11 says, “And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

The Bereans searched the scriptures.  As great as Paul and Silas were, they didn’t just rely on their popular reputation.  They made sure what they preached and taught lined up with the Word of God.   Please saints, don’t fall for the seduction of false doctrine.  It can literally kill you and you’ll suffer the second death as a result. Remember John 5:39 says, “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they which testify of me.”  Search the scriptures for yourself!  It is your eternal soul we’re talking about here.  You only get one time around here on Earth.  The scriptures don’t suggest karma or purgatory. Carlton Pearson may not believe in Hell but that doesn’t mean that Hell isn’t a reality.  It is!  And what can be worse than Hell itself?  Being thrown into the Lake of Fire, tormented for eternity, and separated from Jesus Christ forever.

  1. I was reading while writing a reply and to my surprise some of the same scriptures came to mind when I saw that you posted the same later on in your article. So I guess that makes it all the more true!

The call to nobility is an ignored call by the masses, it was commended by the Apostle Paul in Acts 17:11, but shunned by most in today’s era of Christendom.

“They make the unsaved believe that they are really saved.” The fore quoted is a danger that will bring a greater damnation to people that should know the word who obviously ignore the word, to appeal to the swelling crowds. They ought to know better!

To imagine a church that follows false teachings is a burden that is light as cotton until it leads to the final destination. By then it is way too late. Laziness will keep you and anyone else from searching the scripture to see if we have life. [Jhn 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.] Too many are looking for what’s in it for them.

The false teacher is a murderer indeed, but the murder victim isn’t completely off of the hook due to where he ventured to go while ignoring warnings of others. The spiritual is coinciding with the natural here, in the natural we go not into dangerous territories without help or guard. 2nd Thess. Is coming to mind about the folks that loved not the truth being damned.

  2. True Vaughn. Its a very simple line.

According to Jesus, satan is a liar and a murderer from the beginning. John 8:44
He is the father of a lie.
Any person who intentionally creates or advocates a lie about God, Christ or his Word while using God as a cover is in cahoots with satan, the murderer.
Guilt by association makes them a murderer.
The conclusion? All liars and murderers will have their part in the lake of fire. Rev. 21:8

If they do not want to be murderers, teach the truth and uphold God’s word.

  3. Frightening and as I have always said such believes cheapen what Christ did on the cross. If there was no sin then Christ would not have to die.

Repentance and belief Go hand in hand.

The homosexual cannot just believe and not repent. Can someone just not believe, reject the gospel and be saved? John 3:16 says not.

    Romans 6:15-23 (King James Version)

15What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

16Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

17But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

18Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

19I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

20For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

21What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

22But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

These heresies are worst that having no knowledge of Christ at all becuase you have added to and tortured the holy scriptures, in doing so render the true gospel somewhat powerless to those who listen to it.

Another thing that troubles me greatly is the “feelings” that one has and are looking for when we go to church. All of these people say the Spirit of God showed up and the Presence of God was here. It is quite apparent to me that we should not seek feeling as much as we do as so many are decieved because it feels nice.

    Lord have mercy!

  4. The gospel of inclusion is deadly indeed. I got into a discussion in one of my classes with a young lady that believes that ; 1). She is a Christian and 2). God will forgive her sins of fornication and homosexuality. She said this without blinking an eye-I went into shock, because she would not back down-and neither would I. I told her the Word was the Word, and God has not changed His mind about sin because society has-and we all will be judged. After about 10 minutes of going back and forth, she got up and left-this was the perfect opportunity for me to expound on God’s love, grace, forgiveness to the rest of the class, and why there has to be repentance and turning from sin. This gospel of inclusion is surely sending many alleged saints to hell~

  5. Lady D, you mentioned that you were in class and talking about this.

Are you in a secular school, or a bible college/seminary?

  6. Well done Lady D. The classrooms are a battleground these days but thank God there are people like you upholding the word of the Lord without prejudice.

The thing that gets me is that the inclusionists are so unyeildingly dogmatic without even acknowledging a slither of error in their beliefs. But they will condemn you in a NY minute about being judgmental and close minded.

They got a new jesus and they do all the talking for him. I call it the ventriloquist jesus version for religious people.

  7. Shofarsound:

May I offer a slight word of correction? In your
article, you quote John 5:39 and you use it in the sense that people need to search the scriptures for themselves. That is true but the context that Jesus was using those words was a rebuke to the Jews who at that time diligently studied the scriptures thinking that was their “ticket” to eternal life…BUT they did not recognize that the scriptures in fact spoke of and affirmed Jesus as the promised Messiah and the Son of God.
Their reading of scripture was not affirming Jesus as Savior or Lord but rather they read the scriptures thinking their reading of same was sufficient for their redemption apart from receiving
    the Messiah as their Savior.

    Thanks

    Lafe

  8. Lafe,

I’m not rushing to anyones defense, nor attempting to correct you for you both in this situation, need it not. But I believe Bro., Jerald was fully aware of the context he was using, due to the fact he has an excellent understanding of jewish writings and customs, I believe for what its worth, he was simply giving an example.

  9. Lafe,

The main point of the article is how false teachers causes someone to have eternal damnation. I didn’t expound on John 5:39, but people still need to search the scriptures for themselves to know about Jesus. Do you agree? I understand that Jesus was talking to these Jewish teachers who believed “Do this and you will have life in the world to come.” They believed one had eternal life through the Scriptures. But Jesus is telling them the Scriptures witness to Him. So to reject Him is to disobey the Scriptures. Aren’t these false teachers rejecting Jesus and the Scriptures? Are these false teachers teaching there flock to believe in another jesus? I apologize for not being hermeneutically correct in my use of John 5:39. However, the central focus of this article is to educate the average saint to not be tossed to and fro from every wind of doctrine, and to know the Jesus of the Scriptures for themselves.

To get back on point or focus of the article these false teachers, exhibit the nature of their father the devil. They lie and murder people they teach & preach too (John 8:44). Satan is the father of lies and an murderer from the beginning. In the Jewish tradition they stressed that Satan lie had led to the death of Adam(Genesis 3).

As Gcmwatch stated in his comments all liars and murderers will have their part in the lake of fire Rev. 21:8. We must attempt to educate the average Christian to not partake of poisonous doctrine that is a “highway to hell.”

  10. Your correct Bro. Tony in your assessment. I was using John 5:39 as an example.

    Thank you,

    Shofarsound

  11. Sorry Angela I did not mention that I do jail ministry-and this conversation happened during one of the sessions. I spend a lot time going through scripture with the ladies, because some of them are earnestly seeking God’s truth and want to live for Him. And Pastor Fastor, I run into the inclusionists that try and argue me to the ground-but I only put up with that for a minute. God is not politically correct and He does not change His mind because we do. I cleary state that I teach the Word and if you don’t agree, you are free to return to your bunk. The opposing party will either be quiet or leave.

  12. Lady D, that’s wonderful what you do.

And your comment: “I clearly state that I teach the Word and if you don’t agree, you are free to return to your bunk.”

    That’s priceless.

  14. Over the past 30 some years, I have been involved with 2 mainline denominational churches, and 2 evangelical churches. I am confussed on the issue of spiritual gifts. I am aware that gifts can be abused; however, my question involves those who preach against the gifts verses those who are pro-gifts. I know godly people who pray in a spirtual prayer language. Yet, I also know of godly people (and hence, denominations) who argue against. Evidently someone is teaching incorrectly. I have heard of well known TV ministers speak against issues such as praying in tongues. Again, equally, there are godly who people who believe in the issue. Is the wrong one considered a false prophet and teacher, and should they be held accountable?
