Church school, lesbian parents not a good fit

DALLAS – In today’s worldly influenced Christian community, compromise is the common escape route most churches take when forced to make decisions on issues with regard to spirituality. With so many churches more concerned with being politically correct, than being scripturally sound, it is a breath of Holy Ghost filled fresh air to see a church firmly stand for holiness.

These days no one wants to step on any one’s toes, why? Because stepped on toes equal empty wallets. But that brings into question our trust in Jesus and whether or not it is authentic trust or superficial mouth service.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:4-6) (King James Version)

St Vincents Cathedral Bedford TexasThe  Dallas Morning News reported on the  issue of a local church school which decided against accepting the child of a self declared christian lesbian couple.

On the surface, St. Vincent’s Cathedral School of Bedford seemed like a perfect fit for Tracy and Jill Harrison’s 4-year-old daughter. It was a good school that would provide much more than your average day care center, Jill Harrison said. It was close to their home, and the hours matched the family’s busy schedule.

The couple also thought that, as nondenominational Christians, their values would align with those taught at the school. But there turned out to be a wide disparity in beliefs.

Less than one week before young Olivia’s first day – and days after her teacher called to welcome her – the Harrison’s learned that their lifestyle as a married lesbian couple made them a bad fit for St. Vincent’s. Olivia was no longer welcome.

The ensuing debate stirred up the local religious riff raff against the church who accused it of having a “lack of diversity, close-mindedness, and out right discrimination.”

I call them the local Religious Riff Raff (a group of  pastors, ministers and religious professors from the Dallas area), because they are ignorant of the scriptures. Almost all of the church leaders the DMN interviewed, condemned the church for taking a stance on holiness and sanctification. This “religious panel”  criticized the church for not “including” the homosexual couples daughter in their school.

These women professed to be non-denominational Christians,  but the word of God clearly tells us what to do concerning those who profess to be Christians yet live an immoral life. 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 According to the word of God we are to administer strict discipline when church members openly persist in sin, and we are to separate ourselves from them. Why bring a lesbian couple into the church?

This would clearly be seen as the church accepting homosexuality. Are we (the church) not, to align ourselves with the word of God? We must know what the word of God says concerning homosexuality. If you’re not sure, read John MacArthur’s biblical exegesis concerning homosexuality here.

Another gay christian setup?

In the fight against false teaching and false doctrine, the body of believers must take bold stands and not relinquish any ground. We must hold the word of God above any thought, word, or action of man. This will cause us much discomfort, but it might cause others to repent.

These women claim to be Christians meaning their lives should reflect Christ. But how does homosexuality reflect Christ? Their claim couldn’t be further from the truth, these women are liars and the truth of God is not in them. A true born again believer is a new creature.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

Our thought processes, through study of God’s word, becomes new and we strive for total obedience to the word of God.

Let’s be honest. Although the lesbian couple claim to be Christians, by living in unrepentant sexual immorality these women are spiritually lost and their minds are cloudy and dark. They have not come under the knowledge of Christ and the proof is in the words that come out of their mouths. Paul describes them as:

Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.” Ephesians 4:18-19

Only a lack of understanding of the scriptures, which is a clear indication of them both being devoid of the Spirit of God, would lead these two women to claim salvation by Jesus Christ, while living a sexually immoral lifestyle. Only a foul motive would encourage these women to attempt to enroll their child into a Christian daycare.  This was a plot by the gay community to put pressure on the church to accept their lifestyle.

Was the church right?

If we fail to live a life that is in contrast to the evils of this world we become just as lost as they are. Read Matthew 5:13-16. The bible says if we give in, we are good for nothing. The body of Christ has been given the victory over this earth and satan. Jesus said the gates of hell would not prevail. The church was right in its stance. Because the title of Christian refers to those who follow Christ, and not their selfish desires.

When the truth is followed it will offend many. There is no way around that, but we must remain true to the word of God. Homosexuality is an abomination to God. This sinful couple is not a representation of Jesus Christ but a representation of their true father satan.

The way the church went about it shows the Love of God as well. They privately and discretly told the couple that they couldn’t enroll their daughter yet the women took the case to the local news and had the child publicly dragged through the mud for what? Political gain? Don’t let this story fool you. This had nothing to do with trying to get this child enrolled into a day care, these women wanted attention drawn to this situation.

This was nothing more than a trick of the enemy to play on the emotions of man while also pressuring another church into compromise. The bible says:

“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.” 2 Corinthians 6:17

Ladies and Gentleman: We need all of God’s true body of believers to please stand up.

  1. You have that video posted “Pure Passion” at the top right of your website about how homosexuals control the media, this example could not be any clearer.
The media purposely went to pro homosexual clerics and professors to rile against this righteous decision.

  2. @Robert-thanks for reading! and yes you’re right this was clearly a setup by the “gay christian” community…..Thank God this church stood up for what’s right…..unfortunately as more and more pressure is applied we are not going to see this example much….

  3. I agree with Robert as well, and also feel very sorry for the little girl in the middle of it. She’s too young to realize that she wasn’t rejected, but the beliefs of her “parents.” Praying that despite her environment she encounters an opportunity to come to Christ sometime in her lifetime.

  4. Excellent post my brother! In the midst of this crooked and perverse generation, along with the compromise of the gospel, I thank God that He will always have a remnant that will not bow down to the satanic order of the day. The battle rages on so we must continue to fight in the spirit…full armor intact!

  5. Thats a very good observation Alexia. The little girl wasnt rejected, it was the false beliefs of the two women the church rightfully rejected.
Its a shame that these homosexual parents will subject their children to situations like this because of their own vile passions.

At the end of the story I noticed they went to another school and got accepted.

They could have did that at first.

  6. I’m surprised ACLU/Anti-Christ League Ungodly hasn’t got involved in this? Glad the church took a stand despite public opinion.
